West Virginia Junior College Charleston Campus Medical Assisting Graduate Dee Lewis embarked on a new journey today!
She began Nursing School at Kanawha Valley Community and Technician College and said that she attributes much of her success to her time at West Virginia Junior College.
Dee stated, “WVJC prepared me for what a college setting would be like and they have an excellent staff. They are all so helpful and helped me succeed in the two-year associate degree program.”
Dee has been working at Charleston Area Medical Center for almost two years. She said, “My job at CAMC inspired me to further my education to become an RN.”
“If I could give any advice for students in the medical field, it would be to GO FOR IT,” Dee said. “I never thought I would be able to go to college but then I found WVJC and it changed my whole outlook on life. I am not going to Nursing School and I never thought I would see that day. With the push of my family and friends and the great staff at WVJC, I am so glad I made the decision. I can’t wait to finish so I can care for my patients even more than I currently do.”
