Martinsburg and Parkersburg Online Nursing
176 Thompson Dr.| Bridgeport, WV | 26330
The online Nursing program for Martinsburg and Parkersburg area students benefits from having the WVJC Bridgeport campus as the home campus location. In addition, online nursing students benefit from having administration, staff, and nursing faculty located in Bridgeport.
West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) was established in 1892 in Charleston, West Virginia. Subsequently, WVJC spread its career-focused training to other areas of West Virginia by opening campuses in Bridgeport and Morgantown.
WVJC offered its first nursing program at the Morgantown campus in 2011. Since then, our associate degree in Nursing program has been launched at the Bridgeport and Charleston campuses. WVJC Online was started in 2013, taking advantage of evolving technologies allowing students the flexibility to obtain their degrees from the comfort of their own homes. In 2021, WVJC offered its inaugural online nursing program, allowing students the opportunity to fulfill their dreams of a nursing career.
“WVJC has by far the most helpful and supportive group of staff.
I‘ve never had a better experience at a college.” – Nathan Mynes, WVJC Student
Direct Admission Nursing Program
WVJC’s nursing programs are direct admission, which means that once accepted, students begin nursing classes immediately upon starting the program. The goal is to work toward their associate degree in nursing and prepare for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)* in two years or less.
