Accreditation and Approvals
West Virginia Junior College is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) to award associate degrees and diplomas. ABHES is a national accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
WVJC is also licensed by the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education.
The West Virginia Junior College – Morgantown Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program is approved by the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
West Virginia Junior College – Bridgeport Practical Nursing program is approved by the West Virginia State Board of Practical Nursing.
West Virginia Junior College offers some programs that are approved by the State Approving Agency for students to use veterans’ benefits.
WVJC – Morgantown is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). This means that the institution is authorized to deliver distance education to students who reside in states that are also members of NC-SARA.
