CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Junior College Charleston Campus announced today that it will host a special Open House for Mountain State University students on Thursday, August 2nd from 5pm – 7pm. The event will be held at the West Virginia Junior College Charleston Campus on Virginia Street.
Current students from MSU will have the opportunity to learn about obtaining a career-specific Associate Degree in less than two years in a variety of programs and student-centered learning environment. MSU students may also learn about specific WVJC scholarships available, tour the campus, meet with faculty and learn about available transferable credits.
“Because of the recent changes with Mountain State and higher education in West Virginia, we would like to open our doors to educate potential students on the possibility of gaining a degree in a shorter amount of time in popular West Virginia job markets,” explained WVJC Charleston Executive Director Thomas Crouse. “Our student-centered and hands-on learning approach guides students through programs and prepares them for jobs in today’s competitive job market. We are here to train individuals for careers in West Virginia’s workforce and we look forward to making the transition simple for MSU students.”
Students interested in attending the Open House can call Kathy Barnes at 304-345-2820 or email Kathy at email@example.com. Students unable to attend the Open House are welcome to call WVJC Charleston for more information and to schedule an appointment with our Admissions Staff.
