BRIDGEPORT, WV – Regional High School Coordinator Adam Pratt loves that he gets the opportunity to assist students and their families through one of the most exciting times in their life.
“I meet these students as they are entering into a time of transition and my job is to help them become a college student and start their path to success,” Adam said. “The bittersweet moment for me is that in less than two years, I see them transform from that high school senior in a cap and gown, to a college graduate in a cap and gown. I am so proud of all of my students and their accomplishments though.”
Adam began working at West Virginia Junior College Bridgeport in May 2005, shortly after graduating from college. He was hired to work with high school students within the high schools.
He not only gets to work in the high schools to help students with general college information, but he can also work closely with those students who want to attend WVJC.
“There is nothing more gratifying, for me, than to spend time with a high school student that is not sure of their future plans and watch the ‘light bulb’ come on; to see them realize the potential within themselves and move forward with a solid plan for their future,” Adam said.
Adam lives in Fairmont with his wife, Kimberly, and their five-year-old daughter, Kinley. Adam is a huge West Virginia University Mountaineer football and basketball fan, and he also loves to get away occasionally to hunt and fish in the mountains of West Virginia.
