The joint effort, synergy, and alliances are all a part of the collaboration to provide a high level of care for residents in our community. We are happy to announce the partnership of Mon Health System and West Virginia Junior College to create the WVJC School of Nursing at Mon Health Vandalia.
Orientation for this new cohort of nurses was held at Mon Health in the Mylan Room on Friday, April 6, 2023. The orientation began with student introductions, a welcome speech, and an introduction from the campus president. They were welcomed with a presentation from the Program Director and Clinica
l Coordinator. Students then received a tour and began their orientation process. They were delighted to receive their monogrammed scrubs!
We are providing an online component to the WVJC School of Nursing at Mon Health Vandalia Health. We want our students to know that education is their inheritance. By doing so, we provide flexibility and work-life balance to our student’s college experience.
Graduates of this unique program will be granted an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). They will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCELX-RN)*. They will be prepared to begin employment through the Mon Health network or other healthcare facilities.
Cultivating a partnership that creates opportunities for both institutions, students, and the community, will be the teamwork that makes the dream work for this new venture.
