CHARLESTON, WV – The West Virginia Junior College Charleston Campus has been collecting donations for local area animal shelters. The drive was headed up by the WVJC Legal Club, but got all of the school’s students and organizations involved.
“We wanted to focus on something different,” said legal instructor Patty Link. “There are a lot of shelters that are in need of supplies, and we wanted to do our best to help them.”
WVJC Charleston collected bags of kitten and puppy food, bleach, laundry soap and more than $50 for the purchase of kitty litter. To top things off, the club brought in a mascot for the day. A baby kitten who was named “Squirmy” greeted students at lunch.
The Legal Club would like to thank everyone who made a donation. They will certainly be put to good use!
