WVJC Bridgeport Graduation Day

Bridgeport Nurse Group for Blog | WVJC

Seeing students succeed and move on to their next adventure is something that the staff at West Virginia Junior College highly enjoys. West Virginia Junior College Bridgeport hosted its graduation ceremony on December 17, 2021, at Village Square in Clarksburg. The ceremony gave graduates an opportunity to invite family and friends to share in their success.

At this time, we got to see a variety of our programs graduate and share in each other’s important day. There were several graduates from each program-Dental Assisting, Clinical Medical Assisting, Medical Billing/Administration, Information Technology, Practical Nursing, and our first registered Nursing graduating class. Many family and friends attended the event to celebrate our graduates’ hard work and dedication.

WVJC’s guest speaker was Donna Hendrickson. She is an alumnus of our Clinical Medical Assisting program but came back and completed the Practical Nursing program. Donna was a fantastic student who always strived to do her very best and became a familiar face that would always make you smile. Her friendly personality and the way she viewed life, even on the bad days, were an inspiration to everyone at WVJC. She spoke to the graduates about hard work, determination, and always trying your very best.

WVJC staff and faculty take pride in all our students/graduates, and we enjoy watching every part of their journey throughout the education process. Faculty and staff at West Virginia Junior College look forward to seeing our graduates working in their field of study and continuing towards success. Many of our graduates accepted a job offer and were excited about the next step in their journey.

We want to personally wish all of your graduates the best of luck in their future endeavors. As our campus president, Jenica Greynolds, stated on that day, “I hope these graduates celebrate the success they have achieved. However, do not forget that this is simply the first step in an even bigger success that life has in store for you. Continue to grow, learn, and challenge yourselves. It is often said that education is a journey and not a destination.”
