Brenna J. Exton is the ATI/NCLEX Coordinator & Lab Coordinator for WVJC. Brenna is a graduate of the Connellsville Area School District. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science degree with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Brenna was a member of Sigma Theta Tau-Zeta Lambda Chapter while pursuing her undergraduate studies at IUP.
Brenna has been a Registered Nurse for over 10 years at hospitals in Southwestern Pennsylvania, specializing in obstetrics and orthopedics. Brenna has also worked as an Assistant Professor in Nursing for the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) fulfilling the role of teaching students in the obstetrics, pediatrics & critical care lab portions of courses along with the role of the clinical nursing instructor on medical-surgical units, telemetry units & obstetric units at Jefferson Hospital, UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital & Uniontown Hospital. Brenna also facilitated as course instructor to students during their leadership/preceptorship course at UPMC Shadyside & UPMC McKeesport.
In addition to working at WVJC, Brenna is also an Education Specialist/Simulation Coordinator at Uniontown Hospital. Brenna provides education to new hires in the hospital along with being an education liaison for specific departments. Brenna also creates and coordinates simulations for the hospital staff. Brenna currently possesses certifications in BLS (Instructor), NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., ACLS (Instructor) & PALS (Instructor).
Brenna resides on a farm in the Uniontown area with her husband, Michael, has a step-daughter, Katrina, who is currently pursuing a degree at CCAC, 3 fur-children (Munchkin, Einstein & Nina) and 5 farm cats.
