West Virginia Junior College Raises Money for Labor of Love Ministries

By Kelly Rippin, Monongalia and Preston County Reporter

The West Virginia Junior College raised more than $800 at its first benefit dinner and dance and presented a check to the Labor of Love ministries Thursday.

The school chose Labor of Love Ministries because of the influence the group had on one of its students.

Labor of Love said it will use the money to stay open for women and children in need.

“Well it means quite a bit. As I said earlier, in times economically as they are, giving is down in all non-profits, so this is enabling us to continue to keep our doors open and keep doing the work that we’re doing.”

The West Virginia Junior college said it will hold another fundraiser next year.
