BRIDGEPORT, WV – On behalf of the Mills’ family and friends, West Virginia Junior College – Bridgeport is honored to announce a scholarship opportunity for students studying in IT and related fields. This scholarship will be provided to two students who are currently attending WVJC – Bridgeport, or plan to attend in 2013, and are majoring in the Information Technology fields. Its purpose is to assist with the cost of the A+ Certification exam that students of the program sit for.
Matt Mills was a 2010 graduate of WVJC – Bridgeport and a 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School. He was an exceptional young man who loved computers and everything involving Information Technology. He spent the majority of his time on a computer whether at home, at work, or at school. He was an excellent young man who made friends easily, and would do anything to help another. After graduation and successful completion of the A+ Exam, he was employed by RESA VII where he worked as a computer repair technician. Shortly after; he was diagnosed with cancer, and passed away some months later in 2011. It is in his honor that this scholarship has been established.
