William Pignanelli has had a lot of dental work done over the years, from getting teeth extracted to having braces. It was then that he fell in love with teeth and wanted to learn more about the dental field. He chose WVJC’s Bridgeport Campus because it was close to home and he loved the family atmosphere. Pignanelli says, “We are like one big family. It’s awesome watching all my friends grow in their field of study. Plus, I’m the first guy in the dental program, which is pretty sweet.”
Pignanelli is living with his aunt and uncle during his 18 months of education where he will then graduate with his associate degree, which has helped him tremendously. He also has the support of friends and family who all want him to succeed.
Along with his aunt and uncle, when Pignanelli was asked who his biggest supporter is he responded: “Mrs. Partain [WVJC- Bridgeport’s Dental Coordinator] is by far the best teacher I’ve ever had in my life. She always pushes me to do my best and for that I would like to thank her.”
