Grant is both a college baseball coach and the librarian at West Virginia Junior College Charleston. He accepted a position at WVJC in June 2014 and says his experiences with athletes on the field made him realize his passion of being a resource for students.
“Coaching baseball made me realize there are a lot of students without guidance. I wanted to be someone they could talk to, confide in, lean on or vent to. I am that person for many students,” said Snow.
Snow goes above and beyond helping students study or problem solve. He says he enjoys getting to know the students and learning their backgrounds.
“Without a doubt, interacting with the students is my favorite part of the job. If an issue arises academically, then I can help in the problem solving process by understanding what is going on in their lives and by knowing their personal characteristics,” stated Snow.
Aside from his librarian duties, Grant enjoys family time with his wife and kids. As for hobbies, he enjoys following collegiate athletes from recruiting, watching their game performances and following the athletes who make it to the pros.
At WVJC Charleston Grant is a phenomenal resource to both the faculty/staff and the students.
