Chakyra Dobbs is attending West Virginia Junior College as a Medical Office Management student and she is quickly approaching graduation.
She says the reason she chose to attend WVJC was to “better my life, and to finish school and get a good job in order to support not only myself but my family as well.”
When asked why she chose to get into the field of Medical Office Management she stated, “I’ve always loved that secretary kind of thing; being organized, filling papers, scheduling appointments and answering phones. It’s funny because as a kid, I would always pretend that I worked in an office and would type on my little laptop and would answer a fake phone.”
When asked about her favorite part of going to school at WVJC she said she enjoys “coming in and learning something new every day and learning about all the interesting things in my field.”
“My mother, sisters and friends have all helped me through this journey equally. I would like to thank everyone who has been by my side throughout this whole experience.”
