Here at West Virginia Junior College Online, we love to help students get into growing fields of work so they can have a career and a better life for themselves and their family. With that said, our newest program to be added to the WVJC repertoire is the Legal Assistant program.
With the Legal Assistant program our students are learning about all different aspects of law, including but not limited to Family Law, Estates and Property, and many others. We want them to know exactly what a law office deals with on a daily basis so they can excel in their career. This is why our classes are taught and developed by lawyers that are practicing in the field or have practiced in recent years.
Here at WVJC Online, we have worked hard to make this program the best it can be. A main contributor has been Scott Wesolowsky, Legal Assistant Program Coordinator. When asked what he thought the best aspect of the program was, he stated, “In my opinion, the best aspect of the program is that we are in the inaugural phase and the students get a TON of one on one instruction. They are able to get a tremendous amount of invaluable assistance from both instructors and peers. One of the most crucial aspects is that classes are taught by lawyers currently practicing in the field or who have practiced in the field.”
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics job outlook, between 2012 and 2022, Legal Assistant positions will grow by 17%, which is much faster than the average for all occupations.
We are always happy to welcome driven individuals into our online Legal Assistant program. It only takes 18 months to change your life, so why not get started now?
