WVJC Students Learn Value of Community Service

Students at WVJC-Bridgeport learn the value of community service with their college degrees and national certification training. Students and faculty help celebrate Jack Rollins’ 5th Birthday by wearing superhero shirts.

On December 27, 2013, two year old Jack Rollins, was diagnosed with stage 4, high risk, neuroblastoma cancer.

Jack is known for his love of superheroes, and his love and concern for other children. He sports his superhero amour and often receives treatments dressed as Spiderman, Batman and Superman. You never know who may show up for his appointments. He often visits the other children on his hospital floor or those in treatment to get a smile, hold a hand, share a toy, or just to reassure them that “tough things make you stronger”. Jack is a beautiful little boy with a beautiful heart and a beautiful soul.
