    • Students are trained and qualified to sit for the Security+ Certification, which advances the students’ skillset in computer security issues and tasks. Training for this Certification focuses on security matters such as core security concerns, managing secure access, firewalls, intrusion prevention, and endpoint security.
    • Additional training provides the baseline skills you need to perform core security functions.
  • Cisco CertifiedTechnician (CCT)*
    • WVJC students will be trained to sit for the CCT certification, the first-level exam encompassing CISCO skillsets. Training for this Certification focuses on programming CISCO routers utilizing the Command Line Interface (CLI) to manage subnets, streamline, and make digital communications more efficient.
    • Additional training includes managing Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) servers, which automatically lease IP addresses and other information for individual workstations.

    • WVJC students will gain the knowledge and skills required to design and implement functional networks on the job.
    • Students will also become proficient in networking fundamentals, implementations, operations, security, and troubleshooting.
