CHARLESTON, WV – West Virginia Junior College Charleston Campus in downtown Charleston, West Virginia has officially graduated its first class of students from the new Dental Assisting Specialized Associate Degree Program!
The Dental Assisting program at WVJC prepares students to work alongside dentists and hygienists to provide assistance in a variety of patient care and clinical procedures. Students leave with hands-on experience and a variety of skills to take with them as they begin their career as a Dental Assistant.
Students complete an externship as part of their program, which allows on-the-job training to apply in the real world with real patients. This experience allows our graduates to showcase skills to employers in the area who hire Dental Assistants. Students also have the option to take a national certification exam in dental assisting.
WVJC begins new classes every six weeks with the next one beginning on November 4th! If you are interested in learning more, contact an Admissions Representative today!
